Abstract:
Today, Information systems are an integral part of our life. During last decade these systems are becoming more complex, the requirements for them - more comprehensive and their users - more demanding. These circumstances raise new challenges for the education in Information System and related areas.
The greatest challenge is tо give the students practical skills in addition to their theoretical knowledge and to prepare them for the work on integrated enterprise projects.
In this paper we present a specific approach of connecting several courses from Information systems program that support the strong academic knowledge with practical skills and good team work experience. Applying the project approach and team working as an integral part of these courses we try to teach students of critical thinking and problem solving and encourage them to apply various forms of collaboration in order to learn how to design and implement effective information systems solutions.
