Abstract:
One of the challenges of modern management is the need to work with teams composed of specialists from various fields of knowledge. This forces the education system to educate in fields related to the management people with broad competences, including IT. One of the courses that accomplishes this assumption is programming.

Learning programming may generate a number of problems, as it is a demanding course especially for people who are not IT professionals. The effect of applying a unified approach may not be to achieve the assumed learning outcomes.

The article attempts to answer the question how to conduct a course that would be useful and interesting for students, and maximize their outcomes. During the experimental C # course for students of management and production engineering, a new, flexible approach was developed through proper setting of teaching goals and identification of milestones in the progress of knowledge acquisition by students. For each of the identified stages, its characteristics, objectives, strategy, learning outcomes, working methods and ways of motivation were indicated. The value of this method was confirmed by the result of multi-criteria evaluation of the course.
