The article presents the results of studies on the level of acceptance of different authentication methods implemented among employees of SMEs. Studies have shown that the main method of authentication in SMEs is based on the username and password, even to protect key resources. This results in a risk of data loss, which is noticed even by the employees themselves. As many as 40% of respondents believe that the resources of their companies are not protected enough.

Hence there is a need to provide reliable knowledge and promote responsible practices among users of information systems. To do this it is necessary to know the preferences of users and their drivers. This allows preparing appropriate courses not only supporting safe solution, but also their proper use.

Training program for employees of SMEs as the Lifelong Learning based on case studies has been proposed. The aim of the training is to raise awareness and acceptance of different methods of user authentication systems.
