Abstract:
In theoretical discourses and educational practice, the partnership with parents is emphasized as the crucial factor when it comes to ensuring the child’s progress and his/her entire development, as well. In this way, the partnership has become a relevant indicator of the quality of educational work, but also shows the level of parental interest in the child in the context of pre-school institution. A sincere and open pedagogical interaction between educators and parents leads to common goals focused on the child’s welfare. In unusual situations characteristic for the physical distance, the temporary or real isolation caused by the Covid 19 pandemic disease, the communication via digital media becomes a part of the culture of living among children and adults, and can largely help them initiate and maintain the partnership relations of good quality. It, thus, refers to the partnership in which there is an interdependence and interaction between the family and the educational institution on one side and the development of new educator’s competences on the other side. The aim of this paper is, therefore, to analyse the educators’ self-evaluation regarding the competences that are needed for the partnership between them and parents in pre-school institutions during the global Covid 19 pandemic disease. Keywords:
Strengthening family, contemporary modalities of partnership, competencies of educators, child welfare.
