Abstract:
In engineering the high rates of university dropout in the first semesters are related with the weaknesses in the basic concepts for the creation of algorithms or the development and practice of programming, which directly influence the motivation of the students. The gamification is a technique that uses own tools of the games to increase the interest, motivation and the commitment of people regarding a specific topic. Lenguage Conquers is a research project that proposes the development of a web gamified application with the aim of maintaining the interest of students for learning and practice of programming through didactic and mechanical game tools to help students to generate positive experiences in terms of programming, for which we will use concepts of usability and gameplay, which will be evaluated within the application. This paper presents presents an application of the DeDalus method, to design a game strategy in the improvement of programming learning processes in the first computer courses. Keywords:
