Abstract:
The traditional methodology of the master class has been replaced for a long time by other more active methodologies that get to improve the student's attention in the classroom and their motivation to advance in their learning. Within this frame, this work describes the implementation of an innovative teaching proposal carried out in the last grade course among students of industrial design.

The project is based on the quantitative research methodology par excellence: the survey; and adapts it to explain the theoretical contents of the subject. Throughout the project, students write a survey whose contents coincide with a part of the syllabus, introduce the questions in an online survey management platform, disseminate it among their acquaintances, study the data and prepare a final report commenting on the results.

Through this methodology, two simultaneous objectives are achieved. On the one hand, a content of the subject is worked in an active, motivating and creative way; replacing the traditional master class that was used until now. On the other hand, students get in touch with the work process to follow in order to carry out a survey, an opinion study tool that will be very useful in the previous research on users that all industrial design work requires.

The work describes the steps followed to implement this teaching methodology as well as the necessary resources, time required, evaluation systems used and some improvement proposals.
