Abstract:
This work is the result of my teaching experience as a teacher at the University of Valladolid, in particular in the International Semester of the School of Industrial Engineering.

This semester has been taught since four years ago, and this year will be the fifth one. It is carried out in the School of Industrial Engineering (Campus of Valladolid), being the pioneer international semester and reference for the following ones that have been implanted in this same university.

The International Semester, and also my subject, is taught in English language, and the students come from countries around the world. However, in some cases, some students have a very low level of English, which is difficult and negative for their teaching-learning process.
Because of this problem, I tried to offer a solution including a new methodology in the class to manage this case. This methodology offers to students with very high level of English and other languages speakers to develop their skill as interpreter English-other language and other language-English. And also, these students help the classmates with very low English level to achieve the goals of the subject indeed.

The motivation that I proposed to those students who knew the native language of their peers to perform an interpreter function throughout the course had a productive result on the classroom and on the results of their peers. Interpretation tasks were performed in the classroom, as theory classes, teamwork, student outcome oral explanation and discussion of their outcome.

All the students should achieve the level of English language required in our International Semester program since the beginning of the semester. Nevertheless, the difficulties encountered on some cases have given me the opportunity to offer some students the development of their capability as an interpreter, which has been an interesting, motivating and growing experience in their responsibility.
This fact will undoubtedly have increased their personal development and maturity, apart from expanding their lived experience. This developed interpretation function will be linked to the experience of their international semester at the University of Valladolid. In addition, their profiles as engineering students have improved widely, because in companies they demand engineers with high professional capabilities, in both, technical, and emotional and social way.
