Abstract:
In industrial engineering schools is quite complex the teaching-learning process about technical projects subject because of all the knowledge, challenges and disciplines that are related with this engineering field. Also, the engineering technical project field is applied and understood in a different form and application in each country, in Europe and around the world. In this work it is shown the main results of the full adaptation of contents, motivation, cases and applications of this subject for being taught to students of other countries and cultures, and with very different student profile.
In this case, the foreign students belonged to an international programme that Industrial Engineering School offers during a semester in the University of Valladolid. The students come from different countries of Europe and Asia mainly, and their profiles were focused on science or engineering, so not only engineering.
The most important goal of this work has been to do the abstraction process to extract the relevant and interesting information, data and knowledge that our foreign students, from other parts of Europe and the rest of the world, could consider useful and applicable for their profiles and curricula. For this objective, it was necessary to study the different profiles and expectations of students, which were combined with the properly objectives that the subject presents. This way, a new subject program was designed for this case, and a new methodology and pedagogical model were developed for the specific teaching-learning process requirements. Keywords:
