Abstract:
Nowadays, the University teaching-learning process must be focused on the students, so the realization of their degree final project should be this way too. However, the themes and areas that are offered to students for doing their degree final project is frequently based only on the own researching work of the teachers who are going to instruct those projects. Although this classic form of tutoring is valid and quite good from the point of view of working in relevant themes that the tutor teacher knows brilliantly, it is necessary to take into account the point of view of the student also. Because of this, in this work it is shown an efficient and representative new methodology that adjusts the theme, type and realization process of the degree final project to the student. For this, first of all, a study and analysis of the different profiles that the engineering students present is made. The profile has been designed related with their capabilities, skills, knowledge, competences and interests. This methodology offers, based on coaching techniques, a degree final project tutoring process adapted to the student specific profile, so the students work in their projects with more motivation and efficiency.
