Abstract:
On Telecommunication Engineering, there are many subjects with a great difficulty for students to be understood, on both, theory and methodology. Therefore, an educational helpful tool for some of those areas, study and learning, was developed. With this educational tool, students will improve their own analytical assimilation.

Very often, educational tools are designed and performed exclusively by teachers, missing the point of view of its latest users, who are going to use them and who really require them to improve their learning. This is the reason why our objective is improving quality of educational tools, making learning of certain subjects easier. This learning is addressed to the EEES on several ways: multimedia character, high temporal and geographical flexibility to access the information and, the most important, each content was designed and implemented by teachers and students together.

Therefore, this tool has been developed in accordance with the fundaments and context of the subject whose learning is to be reinforced, such as digital processing. The comprehension of this subject is difficult, due to both its amplitude and the amount of included concepts.

This educational tool consists in a multimedia platform on a CD, allowing students to work in any personal computer. So the platform offers students very flexible working hours. And this tool is given to students to carry out their tasks on their own as well as in group.

This platform helps students to understand the subject, giving them additional materials to lectures on: theory, exercises, and laboratory skills. This platform also increases bibliography, helping and directing students towards how to assimilate the items. Because of being a multimedia tool, the learning strategy consists in asking questions to the user all the time, so the learning process is interactive and knowledge is acquired by many different ways: texts, audio, images and video.

The platform consists in a CD multimedia application developed with an author programming tool that allows getting flexible, visual, easy and quick programming. All contents of the application (text, images, videos and tracks) have been managed with edition programmes to increase files quality before they are introduced into the application. Navigation through this multimedia tool has been implemented in an easy and logic way to help students to learn and to relate all concepts of digital processing.

During this work development, a feedback system for the tool design and development has been organized. So, the improvements and corrections that have been suggested by the team (teachers and students) have been performed immediately during the whole process. Without any doubt, this procedure has contributed to the development of a better tool.

The obtained results corroborate the high quality of the platform. These results are the grades that students who used this material have obtained.

Finally, it has been a gratifying and useful experience to have been working in this project where teachers and students collaborate in order to reach the same objective, working to get success.
