The guide to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation between scientists in identification of potential industrial applications for newly developed engineering materials and advanced technologies of their production and processing with the aim to fulfil needs of manufacturing SMEs and multinational industrial companies and to improve their competitiveness on world-wide markets has been outlined in this contribution.
The knowledge transfer platform INNOVMAT (www.innovmat.eu) has been created recently in order to support innovation activities of enterprises from Central European region by transfer of knowledge acquired by R&D in the field of advanced engineering materials and related technologies into industrial practice. The main mission of INNOVMAT is to support the development of industrial products with extremely high added value and to increase competitiveness of companies with high potential for application of newly developed engineering materials and advanced technologies.
INNOVMAT enables very efficient system for linking of scientists and experts from the academic community and the industrial enterprises which effectively provides transfer of knowledge and more rational purchase of equipment, realization of complex R&D projects, etc. The aim of these networking activities is to get in touch experts with key target groups and persons and to inform them about services provided by INNOVMAT platform. The both LinkedIn and Xing professional networks are successfully utilized for this purpose.
