Abstract:
The study examined the online time of students in a Nigerian university. Three hundred and eleven students randomly selected from different faculties in the same university participated in the study. A questionnaire enquiring students’ internet technology related factors together with their demographic variables was administered on the students. Resulting data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test of independent samples and one way ANOVA. Findings revealed low online time particularly among undergraduates. Significant differences were found in online time of students based on programme and course of study. However significant online time differential was not found among students based on sex.
