Abstract:
Giant tablets are new technology that is disrupting the traditional education system. Because of its size, Finnish teachers are finding plenty of use cases in learning apps that before were not possible with smaller devices. Through learning apps, teachers can teach children various topics like programming, science, languages, math, physics and more, all while having fun. Teachers are also discovering that as these learning applications are used in groups, students are constantly practicing their social skills and improving their teamwork, communication, and leadership.

Teachers are also finding it easier to diversify their lessons and suit all learning styles in ways that the traditional education system has failed to do for many decades. It has been well recorded that kinesthetic and visual learning styles do not tend to perform well in the education system as lessons in a traditional format are not adapted to the medium they learn best. With a giant tablet and learning apps, it is possible to enable students to perform better at school and therefore, reinforce in them a positive attitude towards education. Although it’s too soon to tell, we at Yetitablet, are hoping this newly gained skills and positive attitude towards education can set children up for more successful and fulfilled lives.
