Abstract:
This article analyzes the theoretical aspects of studying the phenomenon of music for the development of children's knowledge about culture in general and for the development of their creative skills. Music is the only art that affects both halves of the brain hemisphere working synchronously. Scientific research has discovered that music lessons, through play activities, contribute to improving the health of children, their well-being and stimulate further achievements in the field of education. Music also contributes to the development of a positive attitude towards learning in general, the expression of one's own feelings on the basis of their internal state, the development of emotional intelligence, intuitive attitudes and empathy.
However, the overall picture in Music Education is one of serious decline. If the pace of decline continues, within a decade music education will be restricted due to low interest among pupils in the subject of music (both in and out of school), and it will have lost a major part of its ability to direct talent into the music industry, science, and art etc. Only by changing attitudes towards the teaching of music in primary and secondary schools, will it be possible to significantly improve the situation in Music Education. At school, the subject of music should not only be viewed as an art, but also as a primary learning subject with a scientific basis.
Research aim: to explore the method of intuitive music playing, and holistic approaches to the teaching and learning of music, and prove the ability to develop intuitive scientific thinking by playing music.
The theoretical basis of this article is a development of John Paynter’s method (2002) for determining the possibility of developing intuitive scientific thinking in children from the age of 5 to 12 years of study of music. The article also describes the methodological developments and practical experience of the use of music playing practicing in music lessons. Based on the narrative method of research, life stories of children have been interpreted, proving the development of their intuitive scientific thinking during music lessons. Thus, the study proved that the method of intuitive music playing and holistic approach to music could build sustainable, positive improvements in Musical Education. Keywords:
