Abstract:
University studies should prepare a teacher who will be educated, professionally prepared, empathetic, creative and, above all, ready to educate and educate the young generation. The importance during the study is placed on the support of the student with an emphasis on the development of his personality in all areas. Professional, pedagogical-psychological teacher training is provided by universities at pedagogical faculties. Based on the concept of further development of higher education in Slovakia for the 21st century, it is considered the task of the university to create such conditions that will ensure quality education and training.

The paper deals with the issue of higher education of teachers of technical subjects and their professional training during their studies. The priority of solving the topic presented in the article is the ambition to innovate pedagogical practice with an emphasis on market needs. The proposed changes will be applied in order to make the training of future teachers more attractive and efficient and thus enable them to better start their professional practice. The paper deals, among other things, with the factors that affect the quality and the creation of comfortable conditions in the educational process.
