Abstract:
The paper emphasizes development of competences aimed at student, namely the development of student's personality in the educational process. We follow the competence model of Kasáčová and Spilková, which is currently considered the most up-to-date, and divides specific competences (knowledge, skills, attitudes) aimed at the:
(1) awareness and understanding of cultural differences in a multicultural environment and their impact on learner's personality
(2) knowledge of methods to detect student's individual characteristics, based on their socio-cultural environment
(3) and accepting learner's differences without prejudices and stereotypes.

Our approach is based on creative and humanistic education and training as a result of linking the benefits of traditional and alternative school, its underlying postulates (creativity and humanism) and the aims of education, focusing on affective level of learner's personality development. We stress the importance of developing multicultural attitudes of students while respecting their specificities (religious, cultural, family and others) in the current multicultural environment. Developing multicultural attitudes of students in the educational process is now becoming extremely vital, and is implemented using multiple tools (socio-metric test, scaling, and others). The authors of the paper chose educative game as a tool for developing attitudes of students. They describe the nature, structure and importance of educational game in relation to the development of multicultural attitudes of students; they make use of its characteristics (competition, creative application of the agreed rules, development of ideas, skills, readiness to react, practicality, self-fulfillment, and others) to develop students' attitudes depending on the existing situations while applying the methodological principles that are necessary to comply with during game (whom it is directed to, which function it affects, educational goals, aids, activities, procedures and rules, educational assessment).
