Abstract:
The drastic development of science and technology (not only because of the pandemic situation) and their lightning-fast penetration in all areas of our lives during the last several years created many challenging possibilities not only in various business areas, but education as well. All players in an education area adopt to innovative environments, engage various innovative technologies not only to rise the interest, but rather to create innovative conditions for human development. Such new challenges, new environment, new views, and activities require new competences to be acquired through higher education which requires universities to offer collaborative and problem-solving skills integrating learning with online technology (Hendarwati, et. al, 2021). Many studies have been completed providing collaborative problem-based learning models, consisting of problem orientation, organization, collaborative problem solving, presentation and discussion, and evaluation (Hendarwati, et. al., 2021a). Studying business ethics and law is not an exception. It is also very important to study business ethics and law using collaborative techniques in order to gain skills to adopt codes of ethics, or to put forward company social responsibility practices, also to encourage these behaviors from the point of view of the intellectual capital disclosure, specifically, consequent accounting, evaluation and management (Rossi, Festa, et. al., 2021).
Research aim was to reveal student experience while studying and gaining business ethics and legal competences through online collaborative problem-based method.
Research methodology. Qualitative research was completed using student interviewing as a research data gathering method. The data analysis was completed using a qualitative content analysis.
Research conclusions. An online collaborative problem-based method is a quite effective way to gain business ethics and legal competences. The research revealed that students stressed the possibility for collaboration and problem solving which helped to initiate original ideas, enhance the student ability to implement various business ethics and law projects and gain relevant competences. Also, students stated that online collaborative problem-based learning is even more productive in comparison to contact learning, since it is not time-consuming, and students engage in discussions any time with a stronger intention for their creativity. Keywords:
