Abstract:
The modern design market requires an active, constant change in the visual and subject-spatial environment. To develop a large number of original design solutions the designer must have advanced creative competencies. Expanded creative competences of the designer are laid in the process of learning project modeling. The semiotic basis of design modeling is primary. In the modern designing practice a cultural source for the modeling of design objects is gaining relevance. The symbolism of objects and their elements, that takes into account national traditions and cultural peculiarities, allows the design object to be entered into a specific visual and object-spatial environment, that has distinct cultural characteristics. The study of the cultural code by a designer will allow the development of creative competencies for further professional project practice.
Formation of competence in the study of the cultural code of design students is carried out on the discipline "Design" as part of a course or a semester project. The goals and objectives of the project are formed in relation to the distribution of humanitarian and general professional disciplines in the curriculum of training designers for training courses to take into account the necessary knowledge and skills of the student in the field of research of different iconic layers in the cultural code. In the discipline "Design", we propose to allocate five consecutive blocks of development of creative competencies based on the cultural code:
- Bachelor's level.
1) the basics of the theory of design, methods of modeling the project, artistic and graphic modeling (man-made and electronic) of the design object – the concept of cultural code, the formation of a concept based on the meanings of a creative source, the tropicality of the design language;
2) the consumer (functional) aspect of designing an object: artistic-figurative and ergonomic modeling, modeling of the spatial structure and stylistic features in the form of the design object – modeling “ART” images, visual communication of the design product, semiotics of graphic means of visual communication;
3) the socio-cultural aspect of the design of the object of design – cultural animation;
4) the professional aspect of designing an object of design (practical specialization), the synthesis of modeling methods - the conceptualization of semiotic modeling.
- Master's level: 5) the research aspect of designing an object – the formation of a design code.
The process of crossing creative competencies in the design of an object based on the study of cultural code gradually integrates the student-designer into the context of real design practice. The cultural code creates a new conceptual field of creative sources and will enable the emergence of new author's interpretations, will make positive changes in the existing way of life. The authors of the article conducted a study to determine the main stages of creative competence formation in students based on cultural code in terms of the continuity of design education at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels, suggested ways to optimize the student designer’s process of crossing of creative competences, taking into account the semiotic basis of modeling of design objects.Keywords:
