RESULTS OF THE STUDENT OPINION SURVEY ON THE QUALITY OF TEACHING DURING COVID-19 IN THE SUBJECT OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND PREVENTIVE MEDICINE

Abstract:
This study aimed to assess students' perceptions of virtual learning in the subject of public health and preventive medicine using a 10-question electronic survey during COVID-19

The University Miguel Hernández carries out the student opinión survey every year at the end of the course. Survey information helps faculty get a sense of the student experience in each course, including delivery, content, practices and resources.

The aim of this study is to analyze how the quality perceived by students enrolled in the course of preventive medicine and public health of the bachelor's degree of physiotherapy of the University Miguel Hernández has changed, through this survey, from the academic year 2018/2019 to 2021/2022, a period of time that includes the Covid 19 pandemic emerged in early 2020.

Virtual learning was developed and implemented during the year 2020, and students were surveyed at the end of the course. The survey was comprised of 10 questions. The response scale for Items P1 to P8 is from 1 to 5, where 1 is "strongly disagree" and 5 is "strongly agree". For Items P9 to P10 the response scale is 0 to 10, where 0 is "totally dissatisfied and 10 is "totally satisfied".

In all the years studied, the scores of each of the items from P1 to P7 were always above or around 4. In general, the scores of the different items are maintained from the 2018/2019 to 2020/2021 academic year. It is noteworthy that there was hardly any variation in the period 2019-2020, in this annuity all items from P1 to P7 were above 4 and the level of satisfaction with the teacher's work P9 had the maximum value of 9.55, well above the course average of 7.97, and the level of overall satisfaction with the subject P10 the value of 8.76, above the course average of 7.9. Throughout the period analyzed, student satisfaction has been maintained, so the effort made during the 2019/2020 academic year is noteworthy.
