Abstract:
The evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) makes it an enticing innovative resource that offers new opportunities to personalize and transform the educational environment. It can be extremely useful especially in terms of teaching children with special educational needs (SEN). The present study aims to examine the potential and possibilities for the personalization of the learning process in physics and astronomy, the increase of accessibility, as well as the support for more independent learning of this vulnerable group of students, which offer the educational tools based on artificial intelligence. Applications with generative artificial intelligence are also examined, and they are analysed as tools for creating educational materials. The results indicate that AI can facilitate communication, increase motivation for learning, and create conditions for a fuller inclusion of students with SEN in the educational process, as well as provide a safe working environment in which they can experiment. Recognizing the need for collaboration between professionals to ensure effective and ethical use of AI in inclusive education.
