Abstract:
Introduction:
Modern society is experiencing rapid changes under the influence of progress at the level of structures in various fields of activity. An objective process is the formation of one global economic, social and cultural space. At present, the methods of creating, storing, transferring and using information are constantly being improved. Computer and information technologies are increasingly used in education and prove their effectiveness.
Purpose:
Modern information technologies make the learning process not only more efficient, but more interesting. The article will discuss programs that can make an online course on different platforms more interesting and colourful and include game elements.

Methods:
When writing the article, the authors operated on the following scientific methods. The comparative method was used to identify the features, similarities and differences between the applied forms of education in the education system. Comparative methods were also used to determine the main ways of regulating educational policy in Russia and to compare this practice with international experience. The historical method is intended to study the development of educational institutions in Russia. Political and legal analysis is used to solve the legal aspects of the problem of distance education. Thanks to these methods, researchers have the opportunity to study in detail certain processes, build logical relationships and sequences, and identify patterns.

Results:
As a result of analysis of current programs and tools the authors come to a conclusion about the necessity of wide application of information technology in education. Existing technologies make the education process much more interesting and effective. And it fully meets the challenges of our time about the widespread introduction of covid-19 quarantine and the transfer of training to a distance format, lockdown.

Conclusion:
The modern education system differs significantly from the education system of past generations. The development of information technology has led to a fundamental change in this system. Currently, e-learning is actively developing, the components of which are gaining support, not only from teachers, but also from students.
