Abstract:
The implementation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) has brought a profound transformation in tertiary education. Some of the most significant changes align with the more systematic work on different competences (specific and cross-curricular) and the use of new methodologies.
The experience presented in this paper, based on the previously mentioned situation, was carried out with students in the first year of Infant and Primary Teacher Training degrees. It describes the monitoring process connected with the development of cross-curricular competences using the digital portfolio.
The tool, based on the reflections presented by the students as evidence of their progress, is an individual application guided and supported by the tutor, who is in charge of giving permanent feedback.
This article begins by contextualizing the experience, followed by the application’s description, and finishing with a reflection on the difficulties encountered in the process, both by the students and the tutors, and some possible future lines of work. Keywords:
