Abstract:
Specialized studies have shown that it is easier for elementary and middle school students to familiarize themselves with concepts and phenomena from elementary physics through practical activities. In accordance with the interest that teenagers have in the use of electronic instruments, students from four 6th grades at the Leonardo da Vinci Secondary School in sector 3, Bucharest, Romania, were provided with two virtual experiments for measuring some physical quantities fundamentals: distance and time. Under the guidance of the teacher, the students completed the tasks, obtaining certain results. After selecting the acceptable ones, the frequencies, cumulative frequency, Z-score and standard deviations were calculated. This paper will establish whether the results obtained after processing the experimental data have a normal distribution according to the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test algorithm. A positive result will lead to the calculation of the probability that one of the values is in the reference intervals given by the standard deviations from the mean.
