Abstract:
Informational Age requires a great number of science and technical knowledge, but also a good understanding of them. Physics fundamental learning and understanding may be a challenge for middle and high school students because they avoid bestowing enough time for reading and learning. A possible solution can be a constructivist approach in physics teaching in order to stimulate creativity, team working groups, student’s interest in science, interpersonal and scientific, real and virtual communication.
Inquiry Based Project can be the combining solution between hands on activities, inquiring labour, searching for educational resources on web with fun and leisure.
In this time students are in for hands on activities, look for the resources they need in virtual space, socialise in real time and not at last presents their results to an interested audience.
Teacher’s role is to coach, to monitor activities, to be a moderator, to infer, to assess the final result.
This article presents an Inquiry Based Project unrolled in two Bucharest middle schools participating students from grades VI, VII, and VIII.
