Abstract:
This article reveals how Conceptual Map Method for learning and building physics knowledge is based on constructivism. A short introduction based on Ausubel and Novak theory shows how Conceptual Map Method is used in learning and building physics teaching through some examples demonstrating both using and the importance of conceptual maps. Conceptual maps can be used for acquainting science language ,engendering new ideas, projecting complex structures ,explaining how new physics knowledge absorbs existing ones , illustrating a reality perception ,performing and thinking ,describing the relationships between different physical concepts. Conceptual maps can be used anytime during physics class especially when new knowledge is achieved. They also can be accounted and compared in order to outset the beginning of new class activities. This method enhances the quality of physics learning and building physics knowledge in high school physics teaching.
