Abstract:
The use of Arduino as an open platform to develop the application, allows the user to enhance the device. By interacting with this system, degree and master students can use their knowledge in a practical problem and generate something that is very useful to University researchers. The objective of this methodology was to make theoretical knowledge easier for students to understand for the advanced electronics subject. The evaluation was done using a work report and including questions in the final subject exam. The requested report should contain a description of each step of the project, emphasizing the problems that had happened. Reports should also include the results of a data logging fragment and end with an analysis and personal conclusions. Final exam questions were about the theoretical principles, but could also include short ones regarding most frequently problems during the montage process, what Arduino function is to be used for some action, etc. A general improvement was appreciated comparing the results with previous year ones.
