By analysing the studies of various foreign and Russian researchers, scholars, we identified what gamification is and how it can be introduced and furtherly implemented to English as a foreign language (EFL) classroom while teaching grammar. Thus, it allowed us to highlight important features, ways of working with this educational technology. In the framework of gamification, we researched communicative games as one of its tool. The concept of communicative games was analysed in order to reveal their methodological potential in the EFL classroom. The survey was conducted among the students of Kazan Federal University, to find out the hardest grammar topics for students to learn, their needs while learning grammar and the importance of introducing this tool in the EFL classroom while teaching it. The results showed that communicative games can be a great addition to grammar teaching, in the framework of this research we created and present three communicative games which can be useful while studying conditional sentences, modal verbs and constructions connected to the future. Keywords:
