Abstract:
This paper presents the application of a real environment, a cyberjournal in the activities of students in Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Alicante, to develop competencies and skills contained in the teaching guide for the subject Communication and Media.
This course applies an innovative methodology for effectively incorporating new ICT tools, such as the development of a cyberjournal by students. In this way, students learn from a real environment which is an online media, the sections its has and how its write for the Internet. The interest of this research is justified by the need apply innovative teaching methods related to ICTs are able to motivate students and ease their learning.
Students participate actively in the preparation of news, articles and interviews related to communication, advertising and the university in cyberjournal Comunic@ndo, which develop the skills and powers under the subject Communication and Media (1st degree). With this tool encourage participation and students´ teamwork, as part of a university writing an online media. In addition to the newsroom in practical classes, students who make up the team of section leaders meet every fifteen days to plan activities. Training sessions are conducted on the use of social networks and implemented campaigns are planned to be released in the environment online journalism at the University of Alicante as well as other universities with communication studies. The teachers coordinate the editing process and the editors´ meetings.Keywords:
