Abstract:
The overall goal of this study is to identify the most influential factors that affect students’ academic performances in different parts of the world. One of the main theses of this analytical study is to determine whether there is a link between the factors that affect students’ performances worldwide and those in Kosovo.
The quantitative research method has been used to identify the scope of this study. The critical analysis of theoretical perspectives on the issue was used to identify the most common factors that influence students’ performances worldwide, while questionnaires were used to identify the most influential factors in the performances of Kosovo undergradtue students. The survey in Kosovo was conducted with the 1006 students who are currently pursuing their BA degree at this University of Prishtina. For the realization of this research, students were selected from the 12 departments within the University. The research sample was determined for 1006 students or 10% of all undergraduate students at the University.

Results of the study indicate that some of the common factors affecting student performances both in Kosovo and worldwide are teaching methods and the assessments used by their University professors. Other influential factors include the students’ social and personal lives which impact the undergraduates’ motivation to study and their academic performances.
