Abstract:
Robotics is a very good teaching aid for the development of pupil personality, logical thinking, creativity, systematics, teamwork, manual skills, creativity, critical thinking, the ability to solve not only problems but also tasks and diligence (solving tasks from start to finish). Robotics helps to develop not only digital literacy, as well as mathematical or reading literacy Robotics is a tool for the development of key competencies of the 21st century, all of which are important for employment. There are changes of curiculum at the contemporary education in the Czech Republic.

The article deals with the possibilities of robot programming at primary school. We can program various robotic toys and robots in various programming environments.

Robotic toys and robotic kits are increasingly settling in our schools. We can program robots in various ways. We take into account not only the age of students, but also the availability and simplicity of robots for the youngest students. In higher grades, students work with more complex robots and create more complex programs. The article describes specific examples of programming various robotic toys and kits in different grades at primary schools based on their experience and the experience of primary school teachers. Due to the current situation where teachers are forced to teach online, the article also provides examples and possibilities of programming robots in distance learning. Empirical research was carried out by survey methods (questionnaire, discussion, interview). The work is focused on the use and programming of robotic toys and kits in teaching at primary schools in the Czech Republic.
