Abstract:
The customer experience model (4Es model) containing four key experiences: educational, entertainment, esthetic, and escapist has been introduced in business to evaluate and design experience to achieve high customer satisfaction. The model being applied in various applications especially in service industry has a potential to benefit student learning. Therefore, presented in this paper is an attempt to develop a 4Es-base student learning experience model. Based on nature of learning and student involvement, the four experiences can be described by learning, observing, visiting, and experimenting (LOVE), respectively. These four learning experiences can be evaluated from teaching and learning methods, quality of delivery, and collaboration from students. A few graduate courses are also presented to illustrate the application of the LOVE model.
