Abstract:
All universities meet at regular intervals with the requirement of manufacturing companies to come up with new things. Augmented/mixed reality has come to the fore lately. Universities respond flexibly to this issue and many of them are trying to adapt the educational process to this requirement with regard to market applicability. Current times in companies point to the requirements of Industry 4.0, where augmented/mixed reality is 1 pillar out of 9. In this article, we focus on the analysis of study programs at the Faculty of Production Technologies based in Prešov, Technical University in Košice. Subsequently, we performed an analysis of all subjects provided by the Department of Industrial Engineering and Informatics. We have created the concept of the Learning Mangement system with the implementation of AR/MR into main subjects with maximum use of mobile devices (Mobile, Tablet, Smart glasses). Based on the above, we came to the creation of a universal algorithm for connecting LMS, pedagogical process and practical teaching with AR/MR. We have pointed out the possibilities on practical examples and subsequently we have tested a selected sample of students focusing on distance learning during the Covid pandemic. The results present the interactivity of the applications we have created for the education of university students.
