The presented paper deals with the possibilities of using augmented reality (AR) in the educational process. The paper points to a new tool in education that will allow students to get a better picture of the presented substance. It can help students better understand the subject, as it is text, video and 3D model education. It focuses on smart glasses as an element that can replace computer technology in the future. The first part of the article provides a theoretical overview of augmented reality. In the second part, we focused on the comparison of two Smart glasses Microsoft HoloLens 2 and Epson Moverio BT 350. Both display units are different and work on other systems. HoloLens 2 uses the Windows Holographic Operating System and hand gesture control, while the Epson Moverio works with Android and uses a positioning tracker for management. The third and final part of the article points out several applications that can be used to teach students during the Covid 19 pandemic. In this part, we performed several tests of students with subsequent evaluation. We focused on comparing the functional interface, controllability and memorizing the presented material. As an exciting finding, we can also consider the result that Smart glasses suit students. In Microsoft HoloLens 2 glasses, students had a better understanding of the curriculum, using multiple desktops and applications running in parallel. The Epson Moverio used priority shooting of markers, and the advantage was the possibility of uploading the application to mobile phones, as they work on the Android system. In general, we can say that both elements represent a contribution to the educational process. So far, they cannot replace the standard educational process, but they can serve as an interesting interactive complement to the educational approach.
