Abstract:
The education of risk management is becoming an inevitable need for each enterprise management nowadays. The managers should know how to respond to various dynamic influences of the entrepreneurial environment.

The authors of this paper realised (during the years 2018 – 2019) global empirical research-oriented focused on the benefits and needs of the risk management implementation in the enterprises. The research analysed and assessed the following areas - training the managers in the risk management area in the world, the level of the determined competencies, the knowledge, and skills of the managers, which are necessary for effective risk management. The empirical research was distributed through the social networks LinkedIn®, Projectmanagement.com, Academy of International Business with a representative sample. Overall 1,225 managers took part in the research as follows: Europe (66.1 %), Africa (11.4 %), Asia and Australia (7.5 %) and America (14.9 %). In this paper were used various mathematical and statistical methods, e.g. Barlett´s test supported by the Cochran formula and descriptive statistics - univariate analysis, which involves describing the distribution of variables and dispersion of selected representative sample of managers.

The main aim of this paper is to analyse and assess and evaluate the current state of need for implementing the risk management in the enterprise as well as the level of education, the determined managers´ competencies in the risk management area in the enterprises worldwide on the basis of selected mathematical and statistical methods. The goal was also to compare the results with other similar results from findings gained by global organisations focused on the current state of the risk management implementation worldwide during the years 2017 and 2018 as well as with the research results realised by the authors of this article in Slovakia in 2017 – 2018. Part of this paper is also to design innovation of the managers´ competence model (knowledge, skills, experience) aimed at effective risk management in the enterprises.

Due to the current global trends, the results of our research and other findings by the global institutions the area of training the risk management area is very relevant and highly necessary. The research results show that the educational level in the risk management area, as well as the stated competencies (knowledge and skills), has certain shortages in the selected enterprises. The designed innovation of the competence model oriented on the risk management in the enterprise will enable the managers to be better prepared for coping with the possible negative situation caused by changing both the external and internal environment. Investments to training in the risk management area will help the enterprises increase performance efficiency, achieve higher stability in the conditions of the current changes of the environment or strengthen the competitiveness of the enterprise.
