Abstract:
The technology is evolving with the development of humanity and scientific knowledge of the world, applying knowledge in the natural sciences. Technique can be defined as the process of changes the nature in order to satisfy human needs and desires. Despite the fact, the science and technique are deeply implemented in everyday life, the science and technical thinking of the people in the Czech Republic is insufficient. There is still a lack of scientific and technically educated people. The development science and technical thinking needs to be start from primary education. Science and technical education is of great importance at present. The paper presents possibilities integration of science and technical education. Technical thinking can be developed indirectly in other subjects. Physics is one of the main subject that support the development of technical literacy and creativity. The development of technical and science thinking can be carried out by means of construction kits as supporting tools in teaching of Technics and Physics. The case study presented in the paper describes using the construction models of simple machines, created from construction kit Merkur, in education of physics – topics Rigid body. The Merkur is the origin construction kit from the Czech Republic. The case study consists of theoretical physical analysis of the given simple machine, description of construction model of the simple machine constructed by pupils and from analysis of educational goals of the Bloom’s taxonomy. The case study demonstrates the pupils’ construction activity during lessons of Physics. Keywords:
