Abstract:
The introduction of digital technologies in all spheres of life necessitated a change in the traditionally conservative education system, which gradually turned to e-learning. Although this type of education has a prehistory, according to many researchers, the crisis with Covid-19 is the real reason for the rapid and widespread transition to e-learning, even in non-traditional areas of education in the last year. Examples of this are the online training of engineers, artists, musicians, dancers, medics and others.
Regardless of the problems that teachers and students face in engineering education, it is especially important to achieve high quality e-learning. In reality, it can be increased using adaptive learning or passing to the next level - the so-called smart-learning. Blockchain technologies are suitable for achieving this goal.
The purpose of this article is to propose and analyze criteria for the possible application of blockchain technologies in higher engineering education, which will significantly increase the quality of online learning.
The application of blockchain technologies in e-learning will not only increase the effectiveness of learning, but will also lead to a change in the concept by including learners as an active participation environment, ie. to the implementation of smart-learning.
The article systematizes the main directions in the implementation of blockchain technologies in e-learning.
Based on the analysis and using the advantages of blockchain technologies, the authors propose the implementation of different types of certificates based on blockchain for individual objects of the education system in order to increase the effect of e-learning and upgrade it to smart-learning.Keywords:
