Abstract:
Technological innovations in artificial intelligence (AI) have led to the emergence of generative artificial intelligence, which is capable of creating a wide range of synthetic written material. However, the usage of AI raises concerns about emerging ethical dilemmas and risks. AI is not only able to edit existing texts, but generative AI is also able to produce the texts. The Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic urges higher education institutions to reflect on emerging challenges together. It is very important to focus on the ability of teacher trainees to work with information technologies as information technologies can be characterised as inseparable components of the 21st-century learner's life and education. The research primarily concerns AI editors rather than AI text generators. It examines the functionality of AI text editors. Employing qualitative analysis methods, the paper assesses the positive and negative aspects of AI editors and the potential for integrating AI editors into academic writing and presentation courses at the tertiary level of education. This research will contribute to the innovation of future teachers' training. Keywords:
