Abstract:
In 21 century ,we are all informed about the importance of Information Technology specifically in industries (manufacturing goods or producing services).This paper reviews business process factors in EPC (Engineering, Producing, and Construction) organizations then study the role of information technology on it. A business process is a collection of related, structured activities or tasks that produce a specific service or product (serve a particular goal) for a particular customer or customers. It often can be visualized with a flowchart as a sequence of activities.However, the use of information technology could affect directly on different steps of business process from decision making to execute of giant projects and servicers after delivery of project. The use of IT systems can induce changes in business processes within firms as well as inter organizational project processes between firms. The related issues of using Information technology occur at the intersection of the disciplines of computer science, operation research, and human resource development. However,with the growth of competition between the organizations the role of Information technology is more tangible and it seems that developing countries should be raised to up to dated position and increase their capabilities in order to attract more customers .applied of information technology not only ease the internal procedures of organization but has direct affection on speed of project delivery to customers .we intend to verify the information technologies which is used currently in most organizations of developing countries like Iran then rectifying the methods of using information technology and creating an appropriate section which leads to business process changes and creating new opportunities we hope that this research could help most Iranian companies which are somehow involved in executing projects moreover satisfying their customers could save their time and their money also.
