Abstract:
In the new education and technology era, there are many challenges for future teacher’s education in the field of multimedia, especially to enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning process via internet.

In this article we introduce experimentally verified Multimedia course in LMS Moodle, (at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia), where we present various activities of the course, for example news forum, the possibility of self-testing, and some tasks. We show several practical demonstrations of these tasks that are designed to work with media elements (text, images, sound, animation and video). We share our experience in managing such a course, the assessment of individual tasks and the use of certain services that Moodle offers.

Multimedia course serves students of the third year of applied informatics, as well as future teachers of informatics in the fifth year of their study an electronic support of the subject Multimedia, which has proved excellent learning tool not only for part-time students, but it also helps to full-time students to get study materials faster than else, to communicate with teacher or other students easier and to transfer tasks more flexible than before.
