INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM AIMED AT DEVELOPING CREATIVITY OF PRESCHOOL AGE CHILDREN

The paper presents and analyses creative educational program that contains innovative methods and techniques of creative drama and focuses at intensive development of creativity of preschool age children. Creative educational program has a form of intervention in educational action with children and is quite naturally applied by an educator in a kindergarten class.
The research probe deals with development of child creativity with the aim to find its current status at preschool children with the help of standardized Urban test for creative thinking. The test was made in selected groups of children at kindergartens, where creative education program took place. Tests of creative thinking were processed by descriptive methods and correlations. The results in chosen indicators of creativity development (fluency, flexibility, originality) were compared among groups of children. The research study pointed out at weak points and at the same time at new possibilities of creative thinking development of preschool children. This innovative educational program could become an inspiration for modern concept of preschool education.
