DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP OF KINDERGARTENS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF PARENTS

The given study deals with democratic leadership of kindergartens from the perspective of parents. It tries to point out a dominant style of leadership of pedagogical managers in pre-school facilities in the Czech Republic. It focuses on aspects which play a significant role in the quality of democratic leadership and have an impact on effective cooperation of school and family. The research survey depicts certain issues in democratic leadership of kindergartens and mediates the ability of parents of children to critically analyse, compare and evaluate behaviour of the school management within democratic view at school management in kindergartens. Therefore this empiric study was created in order to gain the knowledge of quality of democratic leadership of kindergartens and to highlight the management style, which influences positive atmosphere and kindergartens’ climate. Analysed aspects from the parents’ perspectives play within democratic leadership an important role, because they highlight problem areas and factors, which will need more attention within leadership of kindergartens and the study of school management. Based on the research results from the survey there is a comparison of strong and weak points of school management of kindergartens from the perspectives of parents. The research brings new impulses and inspiration to improve the efficiency and democratic management of kindergartens.
