Abstract:
By integrating mobile touch screen technology in teaching, whether we mean tablets, iPads or smartphones, we are offered a wide range of new options. A new space opens up to support the principles of clarity, visualization, modeling, development of creative thinking or the use of constructivist approaches. Mobile touch screen devices can be applied to any stage of the learning process, we can use them for practice, repetition, motivation or individualization. Adding the so-called augmented reality, when a student is shown a digitally enhanced view of the real world, adds a new dimension to instruction. Applications using augmented reality offer the student the opportunity to explore objects from different angles, they can help when teaching thematic units where it is difficult to get the real concept, or real experience. At the same time these applications allow the student to work at an individual pace, giving space for imagination and creativity. The Aurasma application is not only an augmented reality application, but also allows for creating its own augmented reality. This paper focuses on examples of the production of teaching materials in various interdisciplinary areas using an augmented reality application, i.e. Aurasma. Attention is also paid to the optimization of multimedia objects which are embeded in the appliation environment with requirements for the most effective output reflecting the needs of instruction. Keywords:
