Abstract:
The contribution presents activities promoting gender equality in the Global Change Research Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences in the context of the project EGERA (Effective Gender Equality Research and the Academia).

The EGERA project, which is financed from FP7, focuses on systemic introduction of gender equality in the academia. We shortly present all its goals, "work packages", activities and project partners.

The presentation mentions the motivation factors that convinced CzechGlobe to engage in activities promoting gender equality. Then it summarises actions and measures that have been implemented in CzechGlobe so far in the framework of an internal gender equality action plan. All the actions and measures mentioned aim to promote and achieve gender equality in the institution.

Hence the presentation presents such tools and measures as a gender equality action plan, gender training plan, content analysis of internal documents, analysis of gender pay gap and quantitative and qualitative research methods such as questionnaires and focus groups. The poster also presents main findings from the internal survey on working conditions and work-life balance of the employees in CzechGlobe.
