Abstract:
Our article discusses about the result of the empirical research on the relationship between socio-psychological personal attitudes and the personal orientations of Vietnamese students in the Russian Federation. With the aim of discovering and analysis personal orientation (orientation in business, self-orientation, orientation in communication) and characteristics of socio-psychological personal attitudes ( Process, Result, Altruism, Selfishness, Work, Freedom, Power, Money) according to the gender aspect of the Vietnamese first-year students, we have based on two main methods of “Personal orientation test” (B.Bass) - which allow to reveal what a human being really wants, what they consider the most important, what they consider valuable, and in necessity, they can adjust their own behaviors; and “Survey of socio-psychological personal attitudes in the field of motivations and needs” (O.Potemkina) - Which is a questionnaire that allow us to explore the demand-motive environment and aim to answer the question “ what is the most important thing in your life?”

The section results of research show that the orientation in business occupies the highest rate compared to other orientations; attitudes “Process” occupies the highest proportion of all types of personal attitudes. Particularly, attitudes “Power” appear statistically significant difference between male and female groups. The results also show that there is a correlation between socio-psychological personal attitudes and personal orientations of Vietnamese students in different gender groups. Based on these research results, we propose practical psychological supportive educational measure to help first-year students directly adapt to the living and studying environment in the Russian Federation.
