Abstract:
Most students today have access to various forms of technology media for communication at home and at the workplace. Therefore, faculty members have a good chance of being able to stay in touch and to communicate with students to find out how students are doing and encourage students to stay enrolled at the university. Faculty members who are committed to student success have a great influence on finding ways to help students succeed in their coursework at the university. Based on research, students’ growth is linked to caring and committed faculty members more so than any other individuals on the university campus. By providing extra academic support and being there for students is one of the major factors to keeping students at the university to complete the degree program. This research will place emphasis on the value of re-teachable moments, relevant advisement and assignments, faculty and peer support, professional communication, and value of technology tools for instruction, feedback and evaluation.
