Abstract:
A high percentage of universities and colleges are offering at least some form of blended learning instruction in various programs. Blended learning needs to be considered more than just an “add-on” to a course, but an optional way to deliver instructional services to students. Many instructional settings at the university are offering different ways for students to receive convenient instruction such as, but not limited to blended learning. Blended learning has many definitions. However, for the purpose of this research blended learning is defined as a type of on-line instruction and face-to-face instruction.
In order for instructional blended learning programs to be effective, the leadership team at the university or college needs to support the infusing of blended learning as another method or means to deliver instructional services to students. The leadership team at the university or college should ensure that there is appropriate infrastructure in place in facilities at the university so that blended learning can be transmitted in an effective manner. This research will place major emphasis on the need for leadership support, policy for blended learning, problem management, professional development, support to users and evaluation of online tools. Keywords:
