Abstract:
This work presents how to create a new Moodle question type, and explain how Memory Graph of Internal Forces (MEM-GRIFOS) has been created. MEM-GRIFOS is an educational question of Moodle that is based on the typical memory games. These games consists of showing couples of images among which the players have to search and find the correlative pairs. MEM-GRIFOS questions could be useful to create complete questionnaires oriented to self-learning in university studies.

First, a bibliographic study has been carried out, looking for an open programming code in order to rely on it. A complete description of an example showing how to create MEM-GRIFOS by means of a new Moodle question type is exposed, describing step by step the process. Then, the programming code has been completed and improved based on the previous codes. One of the aims of this work is how to prepare the questionnaires and select the appropriate images from a repertory of images according to the subject to which the questionnaires are intended. Moreover they have to be effectively classified for the programmed incorporation to the questions. Finally, when the programming code and the bank of the images are ready, the data have to be uploaded to the Moodle platform. The main aim of this work is to show the applicability of this novel Moodle question type among the self-learning tools in universities and to show how to customize this question type to a variety of different purposes.
