Abstract:
Educational projects not only establish the aims and educational courses of action, they also contain plans where governments, educational institutions, business and social sector, establish common goals and objectives in terms of which allocate resources. For Higher Education Institutions (HEI), collegial work should support the development of these projects. Therefore, HEI collegiality should be conceived as a teaching practice revised, problematized and analyzed in the school community, being a warranty of diverse experiences and contributions through which achieves better and innovative pedagogical practices, providing a synergy to strengthen teacher identity and IES to society. Several studies show that the collegial group work are an important means of updating and continuous improvement of both curricula and teaching practices, thus facilitating innovation and implementation of new teaching management practices that directly impact increased student achievement. In this work, we presents the experiences and results achieved through the collegiality activity in teaching subjects, corresponding to the basic level of the engineering área, at Centro de Ingeniería y Tecnología (CITEC) de la Universidad Autónoma Baja California (UABC), as a strategy to strengthen and improve meaningful learning of the students as well as continuous improvement of school management and educational profile. The study considered as main factors: collegiality evaluation, development of interdisciplinary projects, identification of teaching pedagogical skills, among others.
