Abstract:
The study is aimed at deeper analysis of educational leadership construct and competence model based leadership. It verifies empirically the potential of the Slovak school inspectors (N=24, AMage=53; SD=6,75; 12% of males) as responsible ones for the educational leaders formation in the schools by means of five practices of exemplary leadership assessment by Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI, Kouzes & Posner, 2013) and by means of psychological factors of stress coping by a standardized test of Stress profile (Nowack, 2006). The research results indicate the more an individual is aimed at problem oriented stress coping, the more s/he can inspire others by a shared vision, challenge the process, enable others to act and encourage their heart (as dimensions from LPI). These leadership practices form the basic competences of a future educational leader. The study is a part of research project “Psychological Approach to Creation, Implementation, and Verification of Educational Leader´s Competence Model Development (APVV-17-0557)”. This study with a specific research sample originated with a special request of the sample itself to facilitate their personal and competence educational leadership skills.
