Abstract:
The support of children with perinatal pathology in the early stages of their development is extremely important, however, the counseling model of providing support does not allow to quickly and timely overcome existing disorders and to prevent the possible manifestation of abnormal development. Recent studies by remedial pedagogues: V. Tarasun, concerning the peculiarities of the development of mental structure of children with perinatal pathology, V. Tyschchenko, on disorders of the development of speech processes of children with varying localization of disorders, and M. Sheremet, dealing with the conditions of speech formation of children with perinatal pathology and peculiarities of studying its manifestations at an early age, contributed to creating individual comprehensive programs of remedial support taking into account the rate and peculiarities of the development.
50 infants with perinatal pathology took part in the research, 42 of whom received exclusively diagnostic and counseling support. 8 infants participated in the program of remedial and counseling support which, apart from drug and instrumental therapy, offered a system of training with a special psychologist, a remedial pedagogue and a speech therapist.
The research proved that the most effective means is a simultaneous use of clinical, neuropsychological techniques and remedial training. We determined the best efficiency of the proposed remedial and counseling support on condition of systematic training, as well as active participation in this process by the child’s parents. The article offers an analysis of peculiarities of development of children with perinatal encephalopathy of varying degrees, namely, their sensory, motor and speech skills and the formation of their need for social interaction. The authors also describe the directions of remedial work and analyze their efficiency. Keywords:
